The attached three-piece hood with side elastic provides additional warmth on cold days. Carhartt's 12-ounce active jacket is made of 100% cotton sandstone duck and is micro-sanded and garment-washed for a soft finish. The insulation in the body and hood is a brushed polyester lining quilted to polyester. In the sleeves, the nylon lining is quilted to polyester insulation. The cuffs and bottom band of the jacket are rib knit, and there are front hand-warmer pockets and a brass zipper front.
